Jack Daniels Bonded Rye
Review
This rye arrived as a permanent addition to Jack Daniels’ Bonded Series in late summer 2023. As a bonded expression, the liquid must come from a single distilling season (among other regulations), and in the case of the first run of this rye, production took place in spring 2016. Almost all of the batch spent a full 7 years in barrel, according to the brand. Like everything Jack Daniel's has introduced in recent years, this whiskey is a resounding success, delivering bold, earthy rye notes and decadent baking spice sweetness. The price places it ideally for cocktails but don’t rule it out as a sipper.
