Tequila Ocho Puntas 2023
Review
More commonly found in mezcal rather than tequila, “puntas” expressions are unique in that they include the end of the heads and the beginning of the heart of the spirit as it comes off the still. Generally speaking, this leads to a weightier distillate that's higher in alcohol. This is the second such release from Tequila Ocho, bottled at a bold 53 percent ABV, with just over 1,000 cases sent to the U.S. Those fortunate enough to snag a bottle can expect to savor its grassy, herbaceous aromas, black pepper spice, and deep agave sweetness on the palate.
