Ryme Cellars Vermentino 'Hers' 2022
Review
Husband and wife winemaking team Ryan and Megan Glaab started Ryme Cellars in 2007 with the goal of making great wine with grapes that they believe can thrive in California. This doesn’t just include the noble varieties that get most of the attention, but more uncommon grapes like Aglianico, Fiano, and this wonderful Vermentino. The couple agrees on everything — except for how to make Vermentino. So Ryme makes two different Vermentino bottlings, called His and Hers, respectively. This is Megan's take on the grape, which offers a more delicate and round expression. It has notes of cantaloupe and stone fruits, with a creamy texture and a soft, but present, acidity. This Vermentino is the perfect crowd-pleaser to have chilled and ready for just about any occasion.
