Massican Sauvignon Blanc 2022 Review
Winemaker Dan Petroski focuses on white wine in Napa Valley. On the surface that doesn’t sound too extraordinary. But when you factor in that the dominant grape of the region is Cabernet Sauvignon — he’s definitely shaking things up a bit. His goal is to make Mediterranean-style white wines in the land of Cab and Chard. This Sauvignon Blanc is a great example of his approach. The nose has some earthy vibes with roasted rosemary and poached pear. The palate has a wonderfully balanced texture with the slightest hint of bitterness that breaks up the wine.
