Knapp Winery Dry Rosé NV
Review
Established in 1984 by Doug and Susan Knapp, the Knapp Winery is known as a pioneering producer in the Finger Lakes. The winery has always valued innovation, being one of the first estates to plant vitis vinifera grapes on Cayuga Lake. They were also the first winery to plant and vinify Cabernet Franc in the region. Now under the ownership of Cole and Karen Wilson, they are continuing the brand’s tradition of trailblazing and crafting distinctive wines. This rosé is a great example of this, made with a, dare I say pioneering, blend of Sangiovese, Cayuga White, Vignoles, Riesling and Baco Noir. The palate is deep with intense crushed red berry and tart cranberry notes. Keep an eye on Finger Lakes rosés!
