Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Rosato 2022
Review
Tenuta delle Terre Nere is serious about their sense of place on the northern slopes of Mount Etna on the island of Sicily. Their website states that they are on an island within an island due to the location of their vineyards. Up here where “...nature is prodigal but severe.” they take great care to farm sustainably, coaxing the best out of their grapes. Although this is a rosato (rosé in Italian) it still shows this attention to detail. The nose is unique with aromas of lemon, sumac, and a savory hint of cayenne pepper. The palate is full of peaches and zest, but the mouthfeel is lifted by great Mount Etna acidity.
