Airing between regular episodes of the VinePair Podcast, “Covid-19 Conversations” takes an inside look at how the coronavirus crisis is impacting all areas of the alcohol business.
In this installment of “Covid-19 Conversations,” VinePair’s Erica Duecy speaks with Dan Petroski, winemaker at Larkmead Vineyards and owner of Massican Winery, about how Covid-19 will change wine tourism in Napa Valley. While wineries are moving forward with essential vineyard work and cellar operations, their hospitality operations are currently closed.
Presumably tasting rooms and restaurants will open in the coming months, and Petroski suggests a path forward for intimate tastings that will work in a continued era of social distancing. He also discusses the new ways he’s connecting with customers, and the communications developments that are likely to remain with the wine industry after quarantine.
