Drinking on an airplane is one of the few things that make modern air travel bearable. Yet the process often comes with complications and questions that would never arise on firm ground: How do I pace myself when I have nothing to do but watch movies and fight for my armrest? How much worse will my jet lag be if I have that third Bloody Mary? Do I have an aisle seat, or will I have to wake up my seat neighbor (again) to use the bathroom? Plus, what actually tastes great at 35,000 feet?
Those questions and more are the topic of conversation on this week’s VinePair podcast, in which Adam and Zach help engineer Nick map out a strategy for his upcoming flight to Vietnam. The frequent fliers offer a few pointers on how to enjoy those free drinks without doing anything you’ll regret.
