The Story Behind The Sparkling Pisco Cobbler
This delicious libation for the New Year is a variation on the Sherry Cobbler. With an ounce of pisco, the cocktail is inspired by a recent trip to Chile where we enjoyed the strong flavors found in an anejado (aged) pisco. But what’s New Year’s Eve without Champagne? We had to throw in some bubbly. To that, we added a few extra flavors, like orange and aromatic bitters, to trasnform the Sherry Cobbler into an extravagant, luxurious affair. The Champagne brings its festive effervescence to the party, while the triple sec brings its sweetness, and the lemon adds the sour quotient. Finally, a few dashes of aromatic bitters add a final dimension to the flavor profile and bring this cocktail to life.
